Activities and Proposed Activities
Note: Unless otherwise specified, all activities take place at the Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve, Great Western Highway, Glenbrook. During the months of June to September all Group activities, other than Committee meetings, are held in the daytime on weekends. Evening meetings are held on the first Friday of the month from October to December and February to May. No meeting is held when outings take their place in that month.
Activities are definite except where indicated otherwise.
  Saturday May 5 2012: Talk and Activity
  2pm in Information Centre. Speaker: Megan Halcroft on Native Bees. Then, guided by Megan, we will construct a hive for solitary native bees.
  Saturday May 12 2012: Blaxland Explorers Day
  We will host a stall - volunteers are needed.
  Sunday May 20 2012: Special Function
  2pm at the Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve. Dedication of the New Bookcases in Memory of Lyn Thompson.
  The Information Centre at the Reserve has been renovated and new book cases installed. These will be dedicated by Graeme Ingall, President of APS(NSW) in memory of Lyn who was a long time member of the group and also of the APS(NSW) Regional Council. She was very active as both Group and State Membership Officier for a very long period as well as taking on other roles for shorter periods. These included Blue Mountains Group President and Study Group Liasion Officer.
  Please join us. Afternoon tea will be provided.
  Sunday June 3 2012 Walk and Drive
  Meet 10am at Wilson Park (near the Tennis Courts) in Falls Road, Wentworth Falls. We will look at different Plant Communities found in the Upper Blue Mountains. Bring morning tea, lunch and warm clothes.

  The reserve will be open from 10am - 4pm each day with demonstrations, displays, guided walks, talks and plant sales.

  We hope to have a display. Volunteers are needed.
